Bertie Edwards had worked for traditional ‘High Street’ estate agents for many years prior to founding LOCAL Estate Agent. Bertie realised that many of the office related costs, overheads, and commissions that are passed on to sellers were unnecessary. This is because most people buying property search online using websites such as Rightmove.

In 2014 Bertie, with the support of his family, established LOCAL Estate Agent in Milton Keynes. The LOCAL Estate Agent model allows an agent to work from their own home or from a remote office environment. These cost and efficiency savings directly benefit the seller.

Each agent has a limit on the number of properties being managed by them at any one time and customers have direct contact with their dedicated local agent from 8am till 8pm, 7 days a week. This results in better communication between agent and seller which in turn builds stronger trust and an altogether better selling experience. Clients of LOCAL Estate Agent have been taking advantage of this bright and fresh approach to estate agency, getting the best of both worlds – competitive agent fees (like ‘On-Line’ agents) but with a full, personal and professional service (as you would expect from ‘High Street’ agents). And to top it all our model is ‘no sale no fee’ and ‘no upfront costs’.

With the addition of Lincoln Bedeau to the team at the end of 2023, bringing his 20 years of knowledge and expertise in estate agency into the fold, LOCAL Estate Agent is continuing to forge ahead and make selling simple.
